Tanzania

PSF Switzerland has been working in Tanzania since 2013, in the region of Morogoro, within the Lutheran Hospital of Lugala and its dispensaries of Masagati and Ngalimila. This is a poor and remote area with poor health infrastructure. Access to the area is even more difficult during the rainy season – the roads are almost impassable – which makes the delivery of medicines problematic. Yet the hospital is one of the only health facilities in the region, serving a population of over 150,000. Since 2022, PSF Switzerland has also been active in the Ulanga district, at Mahenge hospital and Mwaya health centre, bringing the population supported to over 250,000.
