Tanzania
PSF Switzerland has been working in Tanzania since 2013, in the Morogoro region, within the Lugala Lutheran Hospital and its dispensaries in Masagati, Ngalimila and more recently Kitete. This is a remote and disadvantaged region, where health infrastructure is particularly inadequate. Access is all the more difficult during the rainy season, when the roads become almost impassable, making it difficult to deliver medicines. Despite these challenges, the hospital remains one of the few health facilities in the region, serving a population of over 250,000 inhabitants.
Since 2022, PSF Switzerland has extended its intervention to the Ulanga district, supporting the Mahenge hospital and the Mwaya health centre, thus increasing the beneficiary population to more than 500,000 inhabitants.
